As our flight delayed for almost 3 hours, we went to try out the Thai’s famous foot massage. Didn’t have chance while still in Bangkok, and thus tried out this one in airport with double the charge compare to town area.

The few students also having their foot massage. I was shocked to see a guy coming to serve me. All the others are ladies, where on earth did this guy came out? Quite uneasy but he’s very professional though.  The students commented they don’t feel much (pain) so I think the guy’s got more strength. :p

They use wooden stick in massage of the acupuncture point. Not much pain, means I’m healthy? :p

Upon finishing both my legs became pink elephant legs. I think this is the best service I’ve got in Thailand. :)   Am very not used to have a stranger serving me.  Yes, its a humble job, where you put down your pride.

Suddenly I thought of the washing of feet. I was unprepared and embarrassed when the massagist wanted to wash my feet, and so were the disciples. It was a different feeling and experience comparing to the washing of feet during the last supper. Those who wash the feet of others were humble, and I know, that I’ve not been serving as the Lord do.

Blessed Christmas to you, for our humble Lord, who serves with love, is born today.

I’m dealing with kids who just came up from primary schools. Sometimes they are just too cute, sometimes they are just too childish. Though many of them are giving me headaches, disappointing me and giving me fire burning within, there are still those who would make me smile. :)

Some would still cry upon teased or bully by friends, break up, getting poor results or can’t answer questions in exam. Some would be admiring you and sing ‘beautiful girl’ to you. Even if you scold them badly many times, they’d still be greeting you happily outside of the class.

Some would be rushing to help you to carry things. Some would be pestering you to give them a ‘Good!’ chop or remark in their exercises. Some would be overthrilled when given sweets or praises. Some would be haunting you to give them your phone numbers so that they can sms with you.

Sometimes I feel like I’m also a kid. :p

I took a boy’s bag as he’s got nothing on his desk and was playing with friends.

Me: Why do you want your school bag?

Boy: For lessons!

Me: Did you bring the books or exercise book?

Boy: Nope.

Me: Did you listen or try to copy notes in any paper?

Boy: Nope.

Me: Then what do you want your school bag for?

Boy: For lessons!

Me: But you have no books, you are not listening to teachers, what for you want your school bag?

Boy: (still very confirmed) For lessons!

Smile ^^

2009
04.19

Dealing with the teenagers sometimes will just make you smile.  Yup they can be very irritating at times, and they can be very entertaining as well sometimes. :)

The moments that made me smile..

Students greeting you from far, shouting ‘Teacher, long time no see!’ ‘Teacher today very pretty oh!’, showing their sweetest smile at you. ^^

The shocking+stunned face expressions when they found you standing behind/besides them without them realising it at all.

Just found out that the Chinese kids are actually calling me 一枝梅(Ijime) behind me~ And I was like =.=?  It’s a korea drama which is quite hot recently.

Ijime—Lee Jun Ki.  Handsome?

Ok the girls who told me ‘comforted’ me saying that Ijime is a hero, a super handsome character, and our similarity is the long hair.  lol~  Then all actors with long hair can be my nick as well? :D

I have to say that I’m lucky since they are putting me together with a fame and handsome Korea Celebrity.  I’ve heard many nicks they gave to other teachers in the school.  Some are just way too funny and creative!  Or perhaps I’ve not heard other nicks given to me then!

Two cute Form 1 girls made their own name tags while waiting for the school name tag to be done.  This is just some sticky alphabets.  Cute, huh?  ^^

Few of my students were playing with plastic botols in the class while teacher wasn’t around. I happened to pass by the class.  The boy was picking up a bottle and was in the action to throw at his friend, and he got stunned seeing me outside.

With robotic gestures he turned and talk to his friend: Err… you know, we should recycle this bottle…. to save our earth… bla bla…

lol~

Touched~

We are going to change another new schedule again.  I was told by a teacher that she’ll be taking over one of my Form 1 MM class.  That is one of my favourite class.  So I was like T.T~~ *sob*sob*

I’m handling 6 classes at the moment, two moral, two Form 1 MM and two Form 2 MM.  Only one Form 1 MM and one Form 2 MM class are considered good and easy to handle.  The rest are monkeys which I have to keep shouting at to grab attention or make personal approach.  And their basic of MM are just so poor that I have to teach real slow and repeat again and again and again.

Anyway, the form teacher of the class that I’m handing over, she’s been sharing with me often that how students said I’m very fierce and strict and etc.  Once they were doing my homework in her class and she threatened them to tell me about it, they immediately put the works away.  :D    Thus she’s telling me that they must be overjoyed to know they’ll have a new MM teacher.  And I was like, am I that bad?  huhuhuhu T.T~~~

And so I told the class of the change, and the reaction were out of my expectation.  They were asking why and why and why, shouting and objecting and yelling not to change.  Some were questioning who changed me.  And I said, why, you think you are HM?  :D   And I told them the new teacher is going to be very gentle and nice, they responded, it’s better to be strict like me~  Now you think strict teacher is good huh?

Some were asking for my hp number, seriously writing down “01″ on his palm and waiting for me to mention my number.  I just laughed: “It’s not like I’m going to leave the school!”  They’ve got used to my style and seriously don’t want to change another teacher.  But what can I do, I’m not the one who can decide.  And for whole two periods they were repeating the same thing over and over again.

Yesterday I entered the class again, pretty soon they were asking me the same question again: Can we not change teacher?  We don’t want to change!  All of a sudden they just started off chanting “Tak mau tukar cikgu.  Tak mau tukar cikgu” and within few second everyone started to chant the same sentence over and over again.  I just can’t help but laughed.  That’s so cute!

Stopping the “demonstration”, I continued teaching.  Then some girls started “crying”.  Oh well, they just act it out.  And seeing I have no respond towards that, they were asking: “Teacher why you have no reaction one?~”  Ok I was very touched, but you can’t expect me to “cry” with you huh? :D

They started new “slogan” with some chinese leading “我爱老师” and the rest were following with their Malay accent which sounded really funny.  :D   There were more students giving me ‘salam’ (a way of the Malay students greeting and giving thanks to teacher after the class) then.  And this time even the Chinese also came and immitate the same way of greeting~!  Its a funny scene where both my hands were busy being ‘kissed’ by students.  They didn’t really kiss, of course!

There was a survey form for Chinese to fill in during a programme yesterday.  Questions were about their dreams, how to achieve their dreams etc.  The girls simply filled in “I wish our MM teacher can be out teacher always.”, ” I will tackle MM teacher’s leg.” (as not to let me go) or “I don’t want to change my MM teacher” and proudly showed me their answers, hoping they can touch my heart and that I can make the effort to change the decision. =.=+

I’m gonna miss the class, a lot.  :)

I’m So Glad…

2009
01.08

I’m so glad this year on my teaching life…

I’m so glad I don’t need to wake up early in the morning to go to school, while last year I have to.  Everyone knows I’m lazy piggy that sleep late and wake up late. :p

I’m so glad I don’t need to shout/yell at my students every minute to keep them at order,  spending half of the time managing class.  Last year I can’t even hear my voice and still nobody bothers.

I’m so glad I don’t need to get so angry everyday at students while last year I had my mood spoilt everyday after coming out from classes.  Students are not as bad in Form 1 and Form 2.

I’m so glad I don’t need to study civic and scratch my head to think of what to say! Last year I need to. Anyway there might be chances for me to teach civic again though, but I’m so glad that at this moment I don’t have to.

I’m so glad I get to teach Mathematics this year!! Many teacher didn’t get to teach their own option, or they only teach 1 or 2 classes, while I have 2 Form 1 class, 2 Form  class. :D

I’m so glad I don’t need to attend super long meeting from 1pm (or 1.30pm) to 5pm!  Our HM always like to drag long meetings and it just seems like never going to end… And they have frequent meetings, I don’t understand… For afternoon session they only ask you to come earlier to start meeting at 11.30 or 11pm, and they have to end it before 1.20pm~  :)

I’m so glad I was not given a Form 1 class but a Form 2 class to act as form teacher.  It gives me much less work.

I’m even happier that I’m not handling exam class, while last year I did.  Its so rushing and I’m so blur of everything!

I’m so glad for the tasks given, most of them are on photographing.  Ya, I have names in all photographing tasks.  But that’s something that I’m at ease with,  familiar with, and I’m doing it happily, though it can be tiring.  :D

Thank God for so many blessings on me~!  :D

+ve and -ve

2007
12.22

Just think this comic and equation it gave is quite funny, so share with you. :)

q11.jpg

To me, it’s more of multiplication, as: (+ve) x (+ve) = (+ve)

q31.jpg

(+ve) x (-ve) = (-ve)

Hmm… I think this applies to before marriage lar. ;)

q21.jpg

(-ve) x (+ve) = (-ve)

I showed Alvin this comic and jokingly asked him would he be one?

He asked does he look stupid? :p

q41.jpg

(-ve) x (-ve) = (+ve)

So, conclusion is, -ve should be with -ve, +ve should be with +ve. :D But of course, I don’t agree with these lar.

Both of us often jokingly asked each other why we get together and get married… Upon reading this comic, I show him and said, now I know why we get married. Hahaha… :D

111111.jpg

Many have been asking me about getting a baby, and most of them would give me the reason of let them have a baby to play with. I went =.=||| (cold sweat). I’m not opening a pet shop, though I like pets. :p I think this reason above is good enough already. Haha…

1111.jpg

If I can choose to lay egg instead of giving birth… Hmm.. I don’t think I want it. It’s the process of carrying your baby everywhere with you, you feel the baby in you, his/her heartbeat, and the baby feel yours. I think that’s what I call two soul in one body. Haha… Just because the other soul still do not have a mature body to stay in, so tumpang mummy’s stomach first. :p

Important to have Friends

2007
12.16

I happened to receive an email from one of my student with a comic which puts a smile on my face…

Important to have friends

Did you smile? :)

I often receive a lot of forward email with the content of ‘friendship’. Normally me, having too much of these would just glance and delete. But this one caught my eyes. :)

It is important to have friends. In fact, very important. No man lives on an island. The author puts it in a humorous way.

Then suddenly I felt a sense of familiarity from this comic. Did you think of what I’m thinking?

If the comic reflects our society… Then that’s not funny at all.
