Layang-layang Festival 2009

The International Kite Festival was held last week at Pasir Gudang. We chose to join the fun in the weekend, where I’ll only be free in the afternoon, after the co-curriculum + meeting. This is the best of all the kites! All the kites just dance so gracefully in the air, they successfully grabbed everyone’s attention. Many gasped in amusement.

But unfortunately, it only managed to stay in the air for less than 3 minutes and down it goes.

The crew have to rearrange the kites in proper order before it(they?) can fly again~ It took them long time to ‘comb’ the tails, and everyone was waiting for them patiently~

I didn’t get to know which country did such amazing project, they are just fantastic!

Besides those big ones in the sky, we also have the small ones making their efforts to be freed from land. :p Cute little boy flying his new toy~

AJ being Spayed

We brought AJ to vet again, this time is for sterilization. I know it may sound cruel to some pet lovers, but we can’t keep more doggies, and we don’t want her to attract the male dogs yelling outside our house. =.=

She was forbiddened to take any food 14 hours before sending her to vet, and 2 hours without water to drink. So we gave her early dinner then.

She’s at least twice the size compare to the last time we brought her to vet. It’s so hard to control her!

We brought her there about 10sth in the morning, she’s just so hyper active, keep on moving about in the car, it’s so hard to have her sitting still~! This is the place they keep her before operate her. There were many other puppies there as well, all looked sick or wounded.

Anyway, we had her weight taken again, she’s 12.2kg!

When we reached there to pick her up after my work, we talked to the vet first. We were told that they found her spleen slightly swollen while operated her. And thus she did a screening on AJ’s blood, but no louse to be found. Normally it’d be cause by the dogs’ louse in blood. Now she’s taking antibiotic for one month, and will bring her back for follow up again. Look at her pity looking face, she’s not recovered from the shock yet.

Also, she told us that AJ was very quiet, very obidient, she didn’t lick the wound even. We were kind of surprised as she’s never quiet when we see her~! And ya, she was, lying there quietly, and sadly. When we approached her, she finally regained her energy, stood up and obviously happy to see us. It’s much easier when we brought her back home, as she’s still weak and tired from the anesthetization. But as she had starved for whole day, she began to lick everything she thought nice to be eaten, including me. =.= And trying to eat up the cardboard we place in car for her to stand on.

Took the picture using canon IXUS 90is, as she kept on moving here and there while taking her dinner. She had quite a big area of fur being shaved off at her stomach.

Close up of the photo, that’s the cut. She seemed to be uneasy with the wound, kept licking it. Guess it’s going to take quite some time for her recovery then.

我送给老婆的情人节礼物

情人节前几天，一直在想，要找什么礼物送给老婆。
于是，在情人节前夕，心血来潮，就来自己设计情侣t-shirt。

以下是制作过程：
1）首先，去买那种可以用 Inkjet printer 打印了烫在衣服上的纸。
2）然后，找t-shirt，必须是全cotton的布料最理想（一些其他布怕不耐烫，会很容易醮）。

3）开始设计

4）打印出来

5）先烫直衣服

6）把打印出来的图案，烫下去，大概得3分钟左右，烫斗设置最热；然后慢慢撕开

7）这就是最后“产品了”

My Valentine’s Present for Alvin~

It’s Valentine~ As usual I brought him over to open the present of the day at 12am. Nice box? It’s actually from my students in SMJK Yu Hua, when I was leaving the school after my practical there. It was a big nice white bag with a small bag inside, of which it’s so useful for me to bring to school.

Ok, back to the present. I recycled the present box. It was from my students upon finishing my practical in Yu Hua. A picture before opening the present~

He took a peep at the present, and that’s how he looked! Extremely shocked…. Errmm, I did thought I might get scold instead. =p

After few moments of shocking and stunning finally he dare to open up the present. That’s it, the Nikon D90 camera body. Have been thinking of buying it for him for like half a year already. Have been keeping some money for it, just can’t wait till his birthday to give him. :p

Our Nikon D40X had some minor problem occuring already, sometimes just can’t focus when taking photos. And I think his level should be taking a better camera.

We have a 18-135mm lense, and a 55-200mm lense, so there’s no need of the lense anymore, just another camera body~ The good thing is, both of us can use the camera at the same time then.

Thanksgiving…

Have not been updating blog recently~ The main reason is I had an interview yesterday, for the confirmation of my post as a teacher. Maybe for some its as easy as peanuts but for me it’s really hard.

I hardly know of the names of the Ministers, and I hardly can tell you what’s the current issue, whether its international or national, who’s the prime minister of which country, etc etc. And you have to be very sure of the KBSM, PIPP, RIMUP, PPSMI, FPK, etc etc… Memorise everything. Haha~

Ok, I was really tensed, until I almost have diarrhea already. It went most serious during the morning of interview. I went toilet trice! And I just lost appetite and etc.

Anyway I waited from 9am to 2pm there. My slot was 10am, but I’m the 18th person among the 18 people in a room. Ya, I was the last. I remembered last time I was the first. My interviewer was a datin, and I heard she’d question you so much, that some went in for 45 minutes!

And a lucky thing happened: my shoes were spoilt! And I have no other shoes. The other candidates there were very nice, they actually offered to help me. And Thank God! There’s this Malay lady who’s turn is just before me, her shoes just fit my feet! That’s really great, and she’s willing to wait for me to finish. I’m so greatly grateful about it~~

The interview went fine.. I’d not say it’s smooth as there’re still one or two questions that I can’t really answer due to my tenseness. But she seems to be fine with it, and we even talked about the cheese cake in Tanahmas Hotel, as she went there quite often for interview as well.

I’m really grateful for it, and hopefully I’ve passed it well. Thanks and praise God!

Met a Little Puppy

While we were walking our usual routine, we heard a little puppy from not far. It seems to be one month old only. Very cute little puppy~

AJ was very curious again~ I thought she’s gonna bring the puppy back. But instead the puppy was following her and she’s running away from puppy. =.=

Looking at the contrast, you can see how big AJ had grown already! She’s totally different from the puppy we brought back 4 months ago.

Bye bye little cuttie~ Actually the puppy’s mom is not far away, luckily she’s not around when I was taking pictures. ^^

For the whole 5 days she’s not been out of her cage, and of course she’s not been seeing her old friends for that few days. See how happy they were seeing each other?

They were so excited that they can’t stop jumping on each other and playing together.

Ok, they’ve been like this for at least 20 minutes and I just have to drag her away…

I guess the owner didn’t bath the dog often, so it got an unpleasant smell… So better don’t let AJ mix around with it too much.

Remember we have a chinese forum, about LOVE? It’s one years old already. In conjuction of the anniversary and Chinese New Year, we had a simple gathering at Paramount Hotel, Sibu.
