Gardening

See what we’ve got here!  Plants in our balcony~~~

Thanks so much to Andrew and his mum, who planted all these for us since we moved in to our house!  But we always missed the chance to retreive the plants from them so they are still keeping them for us then.  Finally yesterday we went to Kulai to get them all back~

And also did some shopping on the gadgets, black soil and organic soil, pots etc. Ok lets have a little work on this!  Notice the apple green watering can?  Bought it for the colour. haha~  But in fact its not serving its purpose well, it’s too small! We bought another one again today.

Alvin mixing the soil and filling the pots for new plants~

Tata~ Every pot are different types of plant.  We only finished first episode of ‘gardening’ late at night.  :p

Oh ya, plus another one on the right.  Can’t wait for them to grow well and bloom~!  :D

One of the question given to Form 1 students today:

There are 3 durians, with 2.75kg, 1.82kg, and 2.05kg. What is the total mass?

One cutie raised his hand up high: Teacher, is 2.75 or 275?

I looked at him with a surprise look: Have you ever seen a 275kg durian?! I’ve not! Please bring it here and show me!

lol~~

And some said yes, while laughing away.

ok I know you are cute.

Brownie~

Remember the little puppy AJ met last time?  He’s growing up~!  And guess who adopted him?  The owner of blackie~  See, he’s healthy kicking cute little one.

The kids were actually helding him up for me to take photos. Hehehe~

Sometimes he’ll come over to our house, and when AJ’s not around, he’d love to hang around with me.  ^^ Oh well, it’s not that AJ doesn’t like him, AJ’s good with every doggies, but she’s over passionate that Brownie couldn’t afford it. :p

The big head doggy~  He’s very tame, and he’s got soft hair!  Very nice to touch with.

He also got black spots on his toungue, but AJ got much larger area of black spots~

I fed him a little bit of the food that AJ didn’t liked.  And he loved it!  So it’s proven that AJ’s being very picky~!

Smile ^^

2009
04.19

Dealing with the teenagers sometimes will just make you smile.  Yup they can be very irritating at times, and they can be very entertaining as well sometimes. :)

The moments that made me smile..

Students greeting you from far, shouting ‘Teacher, long time no see!’ ‘Teacher today very pretty oh!’, showing their sweetest smile at you. ^^

The shocking+stunned face expressions when they found you standing behind/besides them without them realising it at all.

Just found out that the Chinese kids are actually calling me 一枝梅(Ijime) behind me~ And I was like =.=?  It’s a korea drama which is quite hot recently.

Ijime—Lee Jun Ki.  Handsome?

Ok the girls who told me ‘comforted’ me saying that Ijime is a hero, a super handsome character, and our similarity is the long hair.  lol~  Then all actors with long hair can be my nick as well? :D

I have to say that I’m lucky since they are putting me together with a fame and handsome Korea Celebrity.  I’ve heard many nicks they gave to other teachers in the school.  Some are just way too funny and creative!  Or perhaps I’ve not heard other nicks given to me then!

Two cute Form 1 girls made their own name tags while waiting for the school name tag to be done.  This is just some sticky alphabets.  Cute, huh?  ^^

Few of my students were playing with plastic botols in the class while teacher wasn’t around. I happened to pass by the class.  The boy was picking up a bottle and was in the action to throw at his friend, and he got stunned seeing me outside.

With robotic gestures he turned and talk to his friend: Err… you know, we should recycle this bottle…. to save our earth… bla bla…

Monkeys~

2009
04.15

Once in a while, we’ll be able to spot some monkeys at a forest outside of our housing area.

Just happened to have this chance to have my camera with me while I saw these monkeys hanging around~!

Ok that’s our lousy drainage which does not really drain the water well.

I actually took this from my car, having my car parked at the road side for a short while.  So you see, they have no fear at all.

Last time I even saw them carrying a big bag of fruits from the housing area~!

Luckily our house is few streets away from these monkeys.  :p

AJ diarrhea

2009
04.05

We started to give AJ some bones sometimes.  She’s happy, of course~  That’s the duck bones we gave her the day before.  We had some ‘lu duck’ and for the bones we boiled it again before giving to AJ to get rid of the seasoning which is not good for AJ.

She had a lot! And perhaps she had too much at a time, we found her having serious diarrhea the second morning. She was having vomiting as well.

And so Alvin brought her to see vet. Thanks to Koh who helped to drive since I went to school already.  AJ was given injection, then antibiotics and antidiarrheal.  Also she was given this diet food which is specially formulated for sick dogs.  It smells like the luncheon meat and looks like one as well.  Ok I didn’t try it. Anyone interested? :p

Half of the ‘luncheon meat.  She can’t really eat well, so have to smash the food for her.  We add in the medcine in the food as well.

AJ mumbling: I’m a lady you know, I eat very gently, you can’t give me such big pieces!

She looked so much better after the injection and also the ‘gai gai’~ She always got excited when going out in the car. :D   But she didn’t seem to like the luncheon meat then.  She still prefers her own food.  The vet actually adviced to give her 100 plus for drinking!~

Rocky was drooling over the food everytime.  Sorry lar, I can’t give you AJ’s food. I don’t think she wanna share.  :p
