We celebrated Teachers Day today. Its my first teachers day in the school. Despite the boring programmes and poor food served from canteen, I wasn’t expecting anything since I’m new and had been a strict teacher. :p Furthermore, only around one third of the students came to school.
Thus I was surprised when students start to search high and low for me and gave me presents. Some came to wish me. There are even those who don’t dare to come to me but ask their friends to pass me present. Am I that scary, yet lovely? 
I was talking to some students when a group of my students waited behind me with presents. Caught by surprise, then touched by their moves. And guess what, most of them are Malays.
After unwrapping, these are what I get. Lovely gifts, as they are given with sincere hearts. The most useful gift would be the file with two red pen and the cute photo frame. I think I shall ‘educate’ my students to give their teachers stationeries like pen, marker pen, or even blank papers and etc. :p Then we can make full use of them. Also not forgeting to correct their grammar in writing the wishes.
Usually lower form students appreciate teachers more. But tend to lose the spirit when they further to upper form. May these students would have this heart of thanksgiving and appreciation always. All teachers wish their students the best. Getting a good result and be a good person means the best gift to teachers.
Happy Teachers Day to all teachers out there. I miss my teachers too. Should find a time to visit them huh? I wanna sit in the class again. How nice it was to be a student. Now I often wonder how did my teachers teach me? It seems to be easy for them in the past but I’m finding it hard to make my students understand. I’m still very far from teaching professionally.

Its Teachers Day yesterday, and suddenly I miss my practical time so much. I had my practical in SMJK Yu Hua (2007), which I’m very grateful and thankful for. They have very nice and warmth environment, very active and smart students, easy going colleagues, and I enjoyed my days there, though I felt rather tough for my first experience handling classes.
With my bunch of naughty ones — 4H. Had a hard time with them, as this is not so well doing class. I’m teaching them Maths and Add Maths! That’s a lot. Imagine same teacher entering your class 9 periods a week, if you hate the teacher you’ll be suffering then. Well I’m actually taking over from 3 teachers, meaning they have 3 teachers teaching them MM and MT. Add Maths is the only science subject they took. At first they were problematic students to me, but in the end of 3 months, they were the closest to me. ^^
4C, my Chemistry class. Smart class, and most are very good students. Actually, I feel sorry towards these two classes as they were my guinea pigs then. :p
Taken in the lab. They have nice and big lab and special whiteboard. You can push up and down to continue your writings without rubbing off.
On the last day of my teaching, the 4H class gave me surprises~ I love this card, with all their wishes on it.

I’m thankful to have Yann Ting during my practical time. She taught me a lot. Though she ended her practical earlier (shorter practical for PKPG), but we still keep in touch, and she has a lovely child already. May God Bless her in all her undertakings.
Mdm Yong who’s truly very nice to me, made organic sandwiches for breakfast, and even brought me out for a treat before I leave. She has a very smart and well behaved daugher, she’s just so sweet and lovely and adorable~!

If you’ve been watching Spore drama, they have the most popular Chinese drama of the year — The Little Nyonya 小娘惹. It’s so famous that you’ll watch programmes on Nyonya culture, hearing DJ in radios talking over and over again on the drama. It also won many awards in the recent Spore Star Awards. So suddenly Nyonya culture become a piece of hot cake. That’s the two main character in the drama — Jeanette Aw (欧萱) and her lover… Qi Yu Wu.
And that’s me in the Nyonya Kebaya suit. 
Ok I didn’t mean to follow the ‘fashion’ or being influenced by the drama. Actually bought the cloth and sent to tailor few months ago, before the drama was out. It just happen that the price was rather reasonable (RM50) for cloth and the tailor offers very good price as well (RM 35 like that, I forgot). The only thing is that she’s too busy to make our dresses, so it took her for whole 3 months to have ours done. 
Wasn’t in very good condition to take nice photos. Taken after back from work, so look rather tired. But I’m excited wearing this, nice dress, right? Let’s hope I don’t get any more weight so that I can still fit in the dress. Students and teachers were amazed to see me then. Many commented very nice dress (I hope same goes to the person wearing it though )
It’s teachers’ day today, hereby wishing all the teachers and educators no matter you were a teacher, going to be or still a teacher at this moment, Happy Teachers Day, and may this special career be a path of learning and enjoying to you all.

Everyday we’ll be looking at our new ‘babies’ outside our room~
Some people call this 9 O’clock flowers, some call them 12 o’clock flowers. So what do you call them? We are waiting for it to expand it’s emperor and cover the whole place! This is super easy to plant, and it’s growing fast!
I love this one. Very comfortable to look at. Waiting for it to grow more, more, more~
I love this! the leaves are like butterflies, and they would open at day time, close at night. The tiny little flowers are just simply awesome~
So called lidah buaya — the tongue of a crocodile. Very high survival as well. I think it’s in the category of cactus.
This plant, it wasn’t blooming when we brought it back, and now it bloomed 5 in one go!
Another favourite of mine, the purple peacock~ Wanted it for long already~!
Grow, grow, grow more~ So that the whole of the garden can be bloomed with this purple little ones! Anyone got the white peacock to sponsor?
