Its the first day of schooling! Its interesting always to see new faces, especially their innocent big eyes and ‘what’s going on’ expression. Quite a number of concerning parents were there observing, some were dealing with teachers/authorities for their children. Its a very familiar scene for me, but it happened in primary school and kindergarten.
I thank God, for again I’m not form teacher for Form 1 students. Its a hectic and heavy job, to bring the newbies and making up everything anew for them!
Though we had meetings over meetings before school reopens, I think the superiors themselves didn’t communicate well and set clear instructions. We were listening to different instructions and confused, stucked in the middle of nowhere.
We knew there’ll be some officers coming to observe us during the first day of schooling. And yes we were still caught in chaos. I was caught not bringing my lesson plan to class (actually I wasn’t suppose to enter, but I just have to manage my class since the subject teacher was missing in action for whole 2 periods.).
He asked me for my class’ time table. Oops sorry, we were only given our own time table. >.< He asked students who entered the class before me, and the answer was still a No. He asked for teacher’s desk in class, and its still a No! I did asked students to get one but there was none. Class was not cleaned as no tools to be used.
Gosh, it wasn’t my fault but I felt like I was caught red-handed. That’s definitely not a good impression given then. Wondering why there’re so many students this year! All classes are full and we’re now having 40 students in a class, the class is so pack, I can’t put in anymore students.
